Yamaha aren't school going kids they know what they are doing and they have two of the best pilots in their team,, they know how to manage engines better,, and by the way now they are running with 3rd or 4th engine and the first two engines are not completely used up, they still can use the first two engines with sorting few problems and upgrades...

I do not feel my suggestion that Rossi should retire is insulting. I've supported him all through his top level career (I didnt watch much 125 & 250 back then). I just dont want him following the edge of the podium in fourth or less all season while troll-snipers take pot shot comments at him. I would love to be wrong. I just dont think I will be.

@ AussieNSW
And your point is? I never mentioned hes riding for zip. What I have said previously though, is how passionate he is. So where are you coming from?
I know. What really upsets most "anti Rossi" posters is the loyalty shown by his fans. So labels get thrown around about fan girls, yellow panty brigade, get a grip on ourselves, etc etc. Facts are facts, and the fact he has so many fans pi$$es a lot of people off, you included. But I learn to live with it because that's what Aussies do. It's called TALL POPPY SYNDROME.

@ Schwantz34.
Relax Buddy.
I'm referring to the guys that are saying he should retire so Cal can get Rossi's bike.
That's insulting, because who is Cal? What has he done to get Rossi's bike? Finished in front of him a few times. Do me a favour. 2013 isn't over yet and "IF" Cal can finish in front of Rossi in the championship, then maybe he's entitled to it. Till then Cal (or anti Rossi) fans are dreaming.

Yamaha can 'manage'? MANAGE? My point exactly right there. Yamaha cannot 'maximise' their potential, just 'manage' to get to seasons end. In a world where the minutiae of fractions of a fraction make a big difference, having to limit anything to do with your engine at this level is compromising the ability of your riders to RACE.

The 5-engine rule with unlimited rpms, electronics and limited fuel is illogical and stupid. Unless you are Honda, when it suits your agenda to make as sure as you can that your greater resources will give you a big advantage to be able win at all costs eh?

No problem mate. I do feel that if Rossi retired then Cal should be considered for the ride but not that he should retire so that can happen. Along with Cal though I'd look at Alex Espagaro who has ridden his leathers off this years and looks most likely to be able to keep tabs on the untouchable trio. Cal on the works Yam would be 'put up or shut up'.
