I was right, at the momente Tech 3 bike dont have any disavantage, Cal use one chassi that allready prove what he can do with Lorenzo winning the Champ last year and has a bonus have The 2013 engine, maybe after mid sesson Yamaha Factory will find some advantage with the arrive of new parts that can be better we will see, this topic also serves to alert people that critic a lot of times Rossi saying that Ducati is building what he whant he had several of news parts and nothingh but like Cal say here, the fact that it is one new part dont mean that is better then one part that allready prove is potencial.. Anyway has we can see the record of new parts that dont worck is still old by Ducati and they are trying hard to keep that record, i allready read Ducati riders saying that the LAB bike was mmmm BAD, nothingh have improve on the critical problems Show must go On..eheh

Cal also take is part on the decisions if somethingh is good or not has i see.. If not why Yamaha would let Cal test there latest spec 2 2013 chassi? do opinian of Lorenzo and Rossi are not enaught? i think that since Ben spies enter on Tech 3 the relation with yamaha has been much more close, and also since Yamaha know that Honda has other 2 teams like LCR with factory material and Gresini making points for the manufacter Champion and yamaha only have Tech 3, i think yamaha is allways making shure that what tech 3 has is really good enaught to fight for good numbers or even chanllage the factory bikes, last year Dovi did very well, this year the clear number one rider at yamaha is Cal, yamaha will know how to support Cal to let him keep is performance.. and in the end Lorenzo vs Cal in terms of proving talente Lorenzo Win he allready is 2 times World Champion but if you wach the qualify times Cal is only tenths of on Lorenzo.. is one gap that clearly show how competitive the tech

The Tech 3 boys are getting the hand me downs from the factory. Parts they either don't want, or last years parts that have current upgrades.

There's little use gathering data on old parts. Again, Crutchlow is not a factory test rider. Night and day trying to compare Crutchlow testing hand me down parts to Rossi developing the Ducati.

re: "Lorenzo faced a similar situation last season, when he was taken down in a first-turn accident at Assen that also broke a newly-introduced engine."

another reason why we have an obligation to hand out penaltys to the rider at fault.

A WC that really looks like it'll be decided by regs and rules that make NO sense - completely illogical. If there's a need to slow down bikes for safety or to save having to make massive track investment - fine. But limits CAN enhance the racing by putting the power back to the rider to make the difference - but not this nonsense.

It is illogical to have strict engine quantity restrictions while having unlimited revs, huge scope with electronics and limited fuel - these things are at odds not in harmony (esp. big revs & limited fuel), and so vast resources (HRC) and VERY exotic & costly engines are needed to maximise potential within very tight constraints.

MGP is now just a platform for flexing big wallets and engineering muscles, and to hell with the racing competition. With the series going to the dogs and to BT Sport then I'm not sure I'll be watching this sorry farce next season.

Thank the gods both old and new, hopefully this will negate the monotonous strategy and allow the people whom I am a fan of to finish ahead of a person whom I am not particularly a fan of lol :)
I try to like jlo, but I just can't. I admire his skill, I admire his race craft, but man he grates me. Don't know why. Maybe it's because he blasts off the finish line like a maniac, takes the hole shot and then dominates the race from there on while others (team mates especially) lose too time trying to block and jostle for 2nd and 3rd place instead of just settling down and trying to catch him. All the while he just goes about setting perfect unhindered lap after perfect unhindered lap and just gets away at the front...p*ss*ss me off no end! It's like watching Doohan all over again.

Meanwhile..,.. 'Balance' aka Vilas is too busy pounding out his petty agenda of trying to 'prove' that Rossi is still the best and fretting about Crutchlow's chassis to see the bigger picture. He's not alone in that though - so many fans are so wrapped up in their petty 'my dad is tougher than your dad' type squabbles, which is why the factories and Dorna are getting away with murdering MGP right under their noses with policies that ringfence certain factories in an unassailable position and making the Racing Competition more and more of a joke.

The squabblers are too wrapped up in the little things to see the big picture which affects fanns and racers alike.
