MotoGP » Valentino Rossi hails Aragon ‘brake-through’

“I'm so happy because until today I didn't have this feeling in braking, I am always in a bit of trouble. I can't wait for Assen to understand if this is also improved at other tracks” - Valentino Rossi.

Lol @ Mikemet
Do you honestly believe that he could have done the same with racers the quality of Doohan, Stoner or Lorenzo ?"

He already did, you are forgetting Sepang 2010, he got a crap start, was 11th come the first turn. and what did he do, started cutting laps close to Casey Stoner's lap record from 2007 and won the race, he lined them up 1 by 1 ,Pedro JLo, Sic, Dovi, Spies,Cal and Stoner must of been club racers back then hey?

oh wait, your fishing hero ran into an old and unwelcome problem, losing the front going into turn 15 and crashing out of the race.... LOL

Oz 2003 VR got a time penalty ( overtaking whilst the yellow flag was waved ) and although a 10 second disadvantage VR won with a mere 10 second lead.
Assen 2007 Rossi qualified 11th and won the race ( the special Yamaha Rock 'n Roll livery ) yup VR is just a crappy rider who had competition from riders who were even worse like Max Biaggi, Alex Barros, Loris Capirossi, Sete Gibernau, Casey Stoner yup all those world championships Biaggi, Capirossi and Stoner won were in a bubblegum bubbles blowing championship.

Great news!! Thing is, while Valentino was suffering for 2 years with Ducati, Yamaha were doing all sorts of things to their bike based on what Jorge needed. Now Valentino is back on a Yamaha, he needs to totally change it to how he needs it to be. Obviously this takes time and Valentino seems to be getting somewhere at last! Ducati didn't just push Casey Stoner to the edge, nearly send Marco Melandri to a psychiatrist, they nearly destroyed Valentino! Dovi isn't exactly full of praise for them either and seems to regret his decision to join them! Ducati have a lot to answer for!!!!!

If we are going to start to list all the amazing things Valentino has done in the past we will be on this site for weeks!!! The man is unbelievable and has done things on a bike that other riders can only dream about! Forget all this " could he do this or that riding with whoever" he already has and if we are going to remember the likes of Agostini, Doohan and all the other greats for what they did, you have got to do the same for Valentino! Every great rider has done amazing things in his time and you cannot expext to compare them as things change continuously, Ago might not be any good now, Doohan might not either, but they were in their time! Valentino did great things and is still capable of the same! Respect a legend for what he is!!

I guess that's the difference between Yamaha and Ducati. In Ducati it didn't matter what they did to the bike, nothing seemed to work. In Yamaha they know they can work with the M1 and see improvement. In Assen we'll see if he can lap closer to the pace of the leaders (Bautista permitting).

The human body peaks at the age of 25 and thereafter it experiences an unavoidable slow decline in physical abilities, none of us are immune to this process which is also called old age. Do not expect too much out of Rossi but at the same time respect him for his unique achievments in Motocycle racing. History will no doubt hail him as the greatest rider of our times.

Funny thing about the haters is they actually troll Rossi's early day rivals to reduce the value of his 9crowns, they talk as if those came under easy times and with less competition,, in simple they say Rossi is not such a great rider...

But when they talk about the crowns of Stoner and Lorenzo, they say "Look my hero has won the championship with likes of great Rossi competing alongside in the track"...

Funny guys

I'm loving the registered only comments too. You can scroll through everyone previous comments.

Some really determined trolls out there who have literally nothing else to say, but negative things about Rossi. LOL, WOW!!!
