“When people like Jeremy Burgess come up to you and say you have a lovely motorbike, you're not doing a bad job are you?” - Paul Bird.

If at all ducati lease their engine, chances are there to find what troubles ducati, engine or chassis or other setting... Observe the progress of who took the engine and it will be like adding another dimension in investigating where and what exactly the problem is,, chances for quick problem detection

I don't know why so many people slag off Paul Bird.
Yes, he has a side to him, like any successful businessman, but name any other Brit who has and is putting his own money into racing like PD?
In terms of bike, he has made it clear that he wants his own UK-made prototype chassis. He wants to do it his way, with his money, so what is wrong if he concentrates in that direction? He has every right to.
As for Ellison, frankly what has he ever really done? Eons ago he was European Endurance Champion but nothing since then. He has never even been close to winning BSB and can only be regarded as a journeyman rider at MotoGP level. Laverty is doing far better and deserves another shot at it next season, hopefully on a much improved package.

'ellison has never even been close to winning bsb'

em, 2009, came second to camier?

second seems pretty close to me. ahead of brooks, guintoli, easton, laverty, walker, hill, brogan....

looks like a decent enough result to me.

Far as I recall Biscuit, in 2009 the Airwaves Yamaha Team had a bike / package that was FAR ahead of everyone else in the field. Camier ran away with it on about 550 points, Ellison about 417 not far ahead of Easton? Bearing in mind how superior the Yamaha was that year plus how far he was behind Camier, it's hardly that good a result is it?
Then 7th in 2010, 16th in 2011.
You consider that deserving of a MotoGP ride?

He should keep Yonny! I know he wants an all British team but that seems a bit odd in the circumstances. The videos of yonny sliding around Catalunya were the best thing of the weekend!

Too right - It's PB's own money, and he has every right to spend it and direct it in whichever way he sees fit.

Last I checked that doesn't give him the right to slag off and mistreat riders that don't meet his 'vision'. Poor showing indeed.

From a personal perspective, I reckon the way PBM has managed its team in recent years is more akin to Effenbert Liberty than anything else. Hats off to all their riders though, they deserve better.
