There is no getting away from it - tyres are now the limiting factor of any MotoGP bike's performance and their construction and durability are no longer relevant to us mere mortals.
I want to see who makes the fastest bikes, I want to see which riders are the most skilled and tactically savvy. I really don't want to see winners and fallers decided by the team's choice of tyre compound.
Given that the championship allows only one tyre manufacturer I'd like to see them bring one front and one rear spec tyre to each raceand have the teams do the best they can with what they are given. Riders would then all have to ride within the capabilities of identical tyres. I would even suggest that the tyres used for for qually should be used in the race.
I really think it is time that tyre compund selection has far less influence on race results.

“I was still with Ducati and I said, 'look, for me, I am in the sh*t anyway!'

eheheh maybe was better to ride the Ducati without Tyres that would be the same..eheheh

tires have been the limiting factor since 2009 when Bridgestone was allowed to dictate to the teams who will succeed and who won't.

Control Tire, its not about being fair, its about managing expectations, slowing down the faster guys and promoting certain teams/riders by way of the engineering in the tires. Its a scam, and people need to stop believing that it's fair, because it's really a confidence trick made possible by gullible viewers and tricky commentators.

BTW, Dani & Jorge (Marc didnt seem to have any problems) were complaining that the tires were too soft on the compound (saying they were one compound too soft in the preceding races) at Barcelona, last year it was more or less about the construction of the tire itself slowing down the Honda. All though that some how went away after Casey was injured, as Dani went on to win almost every race afterwords... hmmmm.

Is it any wonder that the guy whose balls on the brakes and on corner entry is benefiting the most by Yamaha ...

... and Honda's faster riders having issues with the front tires, and tire issues in general.

Who was favored to win at Lemans, ... At Mugello and Barcelona? Why did Dani get such poor performance out of his tires at Qatar, why has Dani been out paced by his teammate every race this year???? Do you guys see a pattern?

Competition == honesty, little room for distortion, Monopoly == corruption and ineffeciency.

Why do you think Stoner's fastest lap records stopped after 2008? Because of the tires ... The same reason why Yamaha dominated in 2009, maybe 2008 (race pace) and the first half of 2010. Honda have paid their dues, their bike is soo much quicker, Bridgestone are the only thing keeping Honda from raping Yamaha, and Ducati have spent millions (2009-2012) trying to get their bike to work on tires that were made for a bike that has a completely different design (Yamaha).

@Llarry

That's because how Valentino presents his views compared to Stoner. And I think the only reason he got a rep as "moaner" was because of laguna 08. if he won there I don't think he'd have that nickname

Rossi puched him off the Track? Rossi dont even touch Casey, 4sure the move at corkscrew Casey can complain but was one simple rider mistake that made Rossi go a bit wide, but anyway nothingh happen and the fight was ON, Casey himself told that the crash he had was is on Mistake nothingh to do with Rossi, he just complain about the way Rossi defende and made some of is attacks and you know why he complain? because he was not expecting that Rossi would fight so hard, do you think what that only because Rossi didnt qualify so good or didnt have one pace so good that he would let Casey make is on Race?? This is racing kids riders are there to fight, is not because you are slower on practices and qualifys that you will not be allowed to fight on track, was a great battle and after this race Rossi just crash Casey mind and win more races and the TITLE 2008 Champion the Old man.. What Casey would like on that day was if Rossi didnt do nothingh and just let him play on the track but

@ MAG1697
Get over it.
Rossi did not plan that move as anyone that knows anything about bikes could see. He went in the corner to hot and was lucky to not fall off. And if you are not convinced that's what happened, and Rossi planned that move? Well what can I say, what a legend lol.
