Ride this Saturday? For what?

To scrap for a few points and possibly lose much more than those if he aggravates the injury - not to mention possibly having another off?

We all know how tough you are already, Jorge. Now is not the time for toughness - but smartness.

@ Motojunky

I'm happy you were trying to funny, as his form so far does not suggest that is gonna happen...

I do hope JL sits it out though, collar bone notas serious as deeper shoulder injuries, but still, not worth the risk. Though if you see what Edwards did 2 years ago, it is possible.

Are you even allowed to race a bike so soon after going under for an operation (forget the injury for now - it takes a while for the aesthetic to come out of your system...)

If so then I think something needs changing in the rulebook!

Wow, good on yer Jorge. Tis' but a scratch! Certianly wouldnt blame you for sitting out but, ANY kind of result tomorrow (even a points finish) will make you a hero in my eyes.

Just think about when Doohan returned 7 weeks after nearly having one of his legs amputated @ Interlagos.

Get on yer bike and make yourself famous son.

re: "“Jorge sustained a displaced, complex fracture to the third medial of the left collarbone. It's been a challenging operation, apparently successful. We inserted a titanium plate and eight screws to secure the fragments of the collarbone. Jorge has just woken up from the anesthesia."
