Dovi came into the Ducati team all guns blazing, best thing since sliced bread, and showed well at first. But Nicky has just kept his head down and done what he always does well...worked hard.

Now lately Dovi is looking tired and dejected and seems to have got the dreaded Ducati disease.

re: "It was a frustrating day but we'll try and calm down tonight and study the data."

data will confirm exactly what you and dovi BOTH said on Thursday. you need a new chassis direction. the ever increasing stiffness of the "lab rats" have not made any appreciable dent in the front end problems. nick you seem to have forgotten, Honda already went down this road with the SP1 which begat the frame of the SP2. I was there when you tore thru the chicane at DIS in '02. i'm the ONLY one with a pic of the wreckage from that day.

once again, I contend the solution lies in exactly what I've been saying for 2 years now. stick with what you know and CONSTRUCT A FULL TRELLIS.

watch a tape of checa MARAUDING on the old, heavy, restricted, dog of a steel framed 1198 at imola last year and tell me i'm wrong...? at this point, you HAVE to build it if for no other reason than to write the idea off. ps: when it works, I expect a job offer, ya hear. :)
