Valentino Rossi fastest during morning warm-up for the Dutch MotoGP at Assen, team-mate Jorge Lorenzo eighth - just two days after breaking his collarbone!

I remember years ago Nori getting a broken collarbone at Miller/Salt Lake City and then 5 days after the operation he won the double at Nurburgring...i was impressed to say the least. Any half decent result by J-Lo will surpass that in my view given it only happened 2 days ago.

I am a Rossi fan too, we have a lovely canvas in our lounge of him amongst other items....some of the Rossi comments on here are frankly ridiculous (and the fact that some are giving Lorenzo no credit makes it even worse). The vast majority of his fans are also fans of the sport at large...however if you were to read just this site as a basis for having an informed opinion on what a Vale fan was like you'd have to be pretty appalled...hideous caricatures of the worst sort of "race fan"......if Vale read some of this stuff he'd take the yellow shirt from your back and burn it....cut up your fan club membership card and shove it up your a*** :)

Go Vale , make us jump on the couch again!

And seriously everyone have a grip, all this bitching is a waste of time.

Some Rossi fans need to calm down , but still the haters all they seem to do is waiting for a Rossi post to come out so that they can bash him. Don't like the guy? Cool, but no need to obsess about him, just go support your favourite rider/ riders.

Why should one not cheer for the greatest rider of all time? Rossi is motoGP. When people think of motoGP, 99.999% only know Rossi. That shows you how important he is to sport.

And when he tops session and wins race, we should not get excited or even celebrate because it hurts the fans of lesser riders?

Season has started, Rossi is back. Just as promised. Championship is wide open again, say goodbye to boring Spanish processions. I can barely contain my excitement.

46Overlord.
Are you for real or just a wind up merchant?

As far as I know his collarbone is fixed with operation. Titanium plate, likely stronger than original bone. And medical also cleared him to take part in warmup. So no excuses.

Most stupid comment i have read in a long LONG time!

@kane
It is you guys who say he is the GOAT and as such we expect to see this GOAT of yours dominate the field but in 3 years we haven't seen it.

I think Rossi is a good rider, I just don't think he is anything near a GOAT unless we are talking billy goats.

If he wins its because the leaders have crashed or fitness issues and as much as thats racing it will be a win of shallow waters and nothing to gloat about
