'It was a great battle right to the end and once again I showed my speed and I was close to finishing second and that would have matched my best result in MotoGP' - Cal Crutchlow

Would have loved to have seen Cal make-do on his promise and take out Marquez in that last lap. His tension was palpable while behind Marquez. It was as if he wanted to swipe a fly out of the way. Had he not needed to respect Lorenzo so much and get held up by him, he'd have done it.

Cal really needs to tick few boxes before asking for more factory material...
He needs to get off to a decent start, not 5th after starting from pole.
Ran wide a couple of times and almost took out marc in last lap,, these mistakes could become very costly some other times

Cal that was not battle....that was your over confidence in the start...getting pole....but went to 5th position just in that first corner...shame....clearly u should take care of your race start....otherthings you are improving a lot

The best thing for me about Cals race was his hunger and controlled aggression. He didn't settle for 3rd and a podium once he got by Dani and gapped him - he hunted down MM and you could see he was riding hard.

From 3rd being a dream and something to hold onto, instead CC keeps it pinned and fights to the flag. Ambition, skill, speed and belief are evident. A great ride and the right attitude demonstrated IMO.

Yet another sterling effort from Cal there. If Pol takes his ride off him next season, will he fair any better than Cal has?
Somehow i doubt it.Yamaha need to have a rethink about letting Cal go.
