With a lot of luck 9th place. Time behind winner over 30 seconds. Bye bye Bradley. This is not an edicational class. All the education should be finished before entering. Since you never won anything special, I am not surprised. Be smart, moto2 next Year on a good bike. Switch with Scott please.

All the education should be finished before entering? You can't learn how to ride in MotoGP without riding in MotoGP. Smith has more points at this point in the season than Crutchlow did in his rookie season.

Solid result from Smith, though perhaps he was a little lucky that Dovi took himself and Nicky off track to let him through. When his injuries are healed, he ought really to have the measure of both Ducs on that M1.

Bradley is far from disgracing himself, but he could really do with a couple more top six finishes for his CV while Yamaha are reviewing their rider situation for next year.

2011: Cal's first year in MotoGP - 17 prototypes
Cal had to beat at least 2 of them to secure a
minimum of series points in the race, and all the other 16 riders other than Cal at least had some experiece of racing on a MotoGP bke. Furthermore, there were some GP venues in which he had never raced before.

2013: Bradley's first year in MotoGP - 12 prototypes
Bradley can easily secure 4 points at least even if he finishes on the last on the field. 3 out of 12 are rookies like Bradley this year. Huge experience of the GP venues.

How could anyone say Bradley has been performing better than Cal in their respective first years?

The facts of Bradleys race are these:
Started from position 6th and was shuffled towards the back after 1 lap.
He circulated mid pack for the whole race continually dropping time.
On the last lap Dovi and Nicky ran wide dicing to improve their positions and with zero grip.
The door opened and Bradley went past them to finish 9th.
33.751 seconds behind the winner Rossi.

nah, Bradley isn't Cal, he doesnt win it or bin it, he tries to understand whats going on, hes a thinking man, as Bradley develop so will his speed. Cal was all about speed but he has to learn how to think, Cal is making mistakes right now that I dont believe Bradley can make based on his approach to how he attacks his lines.

Bradley is a lot more like Dovi than Cal, and in the end, it's easier to take someone down if they are making stupid mistakes vs someone whose down on one lap pace.
