We cannot underestimate the importance of the racer - the human personality and gladiatorial figure who's skill and bravery we can be in awe of, appreciate and empathise with. A Racing Series needs to put the racing in the hands of the racers NOT the mfrs IMO.

Best example is one Valentino Rossi. Love or hate him ( or some of his OTT fans) millions go to see him or tune in to see him race. They aren't tuning in because he rides a Yamaha and if Yamaha sell more bikes its be wise of their association with Rossi not the other way around. It may gall them but that's the way it is.

Make a bike sophisticated enough so that ANYONE could ride like a MotoGP racer and there'd be no reason for fans to bother watching anymore.

Dorna need to realise that it's the RACERs that are THE most important aspect and selling point of motorcycle racing and set the platform accordingly. That has to mean less electronics and rider aids and better racing for everyone involved (Cept the mfrs who'd have to compete n square instead of like now).

Erm - they have, they banned GPS and active suspension (both still allowed and used in WSB) and there will be a fixed ECU, as I have said before all on the same I/O, no fancy gyroscopes for Honda unless they sacrifice something else.

You credit Sykes for his times and position, how has he achieved this? in what area has the Kawasaki changed?

I credit Sykes for his time and position on kit and electronics not so far off what the MotoGP boys have. While WSBK have GPS MotoGP have enough data to set the bikes up on Time so they've for a work-around and the end result for set up and adj on the fly is the same.

The question ALL this tech brings up is the point. How does anyone really know who is best? In MotoGP JL might be champ but with electronics and his tech advantages we cannot KNOW the best guy won.

Espagaro or Sykes for that matter might MIGHT be the best rider and the one who deserves to win. The tech tho is taking over and marginalising the input of be rider and also the tech gap is making competition and fair comparison impossible.

That HAS to mean its NOT real Racing and therefore bogus.
