As cal usually says too little too late after coming back strong in later half of few races this season,, I feel his recent good results are also coming too little too late as tech has already made a decision for next year,, but things can change a lot if cal keeps going good like this...

You're right, Tech 3 and Yamaha have made a decision for next year, and that decision is that they want to keep #35. Lin Jarvis at Assen: "We are working with Tech 3 to try to keep Cal," Sponsors Monster Energy and Dorna/Ezpeleta also very much want him to stay with Yamaha.

However, I think the Yamaha deal will be a factory contract and a pay hike, but NOT a factory bike (they've always been adamant they won't run more than 2).

And that's why I think the most likely option right now is that Cal will sign with Ducati for 2014/2015.

I can't see HRC parting with Dani unless he has a 'mare for the rest of the year. They have 'the next big thing' in MM already, and Dani is virtually guaranteed big points in the bank for Honda's Constructors WC tilt year-in, year-out. Even if considered a no2 rider - he'd be the best possible reliable, fast, safe No2 a team could hope to have.

Even without a WC he's just too fast and consistent to part with I reckon.

Cal faces a gamble every which way. Do another year with T3 and hope Rossi retires for 2015 and they move him up (not certain) or go Ducati, get well paid and hope the bike delivers and doesn't bury his career aspirations.
