'As most of our reserved seating areas are now sold out we've had to release more reserved seating in Becketts, and our 'Family' tickets have also been extremely popular' - Richard Phillips

Message For Richard Phillips... Please this year can you make sure you open up the stands. It was most annoying to walk half way round the circuit to watch first practice on Saturday in time only to get to the stand find a dim security guard that would not allow us into the stand because, health n safety, lack of security staff. Despite it being indicated on the paperwork as an open stand. Not impressed, specially when paying maximum prices to start with. It was only 42 euros to get in Assen. I know us Brits will be ripped off come September......

@nick23

agreed. assen is the best weekend a bike fan can have. british gp is a struggle. nothing going on locally, very poor parking directions for dumping the bike. last time i was there (2010) the big screens werent even working properly so you sat there watching a 'race' going "oh.. someone has passed someone in a place i couldnt see"

pi*s poor.

it may have improved since then but i would rather spend an extra few quid going to holland, riding on the motorway with hundreds of other bikers, having a laugh with the local dibble, camping and partying for the weekend and watching a good race rather than spend a weekend in a premier inn, spend all morning getting to the circuit, and managing to watch one tenth of a lap of racing.

like i say, it may have improved by now but ill not be wasting coin going back to see. ill watch from the couch.

assen and valencia is where ill spendy money.

Just so.
£85 general admission just to get through the doors of Silverstone. Total & utter rip-off.
Paid €13 to get a grandstand seat at Estoril last year. Good view & great weather.
No contest. Go abroad and give Silverstone / MSV the flick.

Catalunya a few weeks ago charged 60 Euros for a 3-day ticket (practice, qually and raceday) including access to any stand on practice day (we chose seats directly opposite Cal and Vale's pits) and reserved seat in stand opposite pit lane exit on raceday. Over 65's were half price, 30 Euros, just show your passport as proof of age.
