And it was his comfort level with braking that was holding him back. He said they found something in testing that made him happy prior to the last race, and that he said he could use going forward. And he wins decisively. I suspect he will now be ultra-competitive for the remaining races this year. Great news for MotoGP.

While I hope Rossi wins all remaining races and agree with others that the points situation would be closer if boneheaded Bautista didn't knock Rossi off. But winning the Championship will be a tough nut but winning other races is realistic. The last race win was great but Rossi needs to improve his qualifying and needs to become consistent in fighting up front. This Assen win is a good start lets hope he has more wins. If he pulls off the championship that would be amazing.

Sorry for going a bit out of topic but felt like telling this because I had a mocking smile when I read the most bizarre sentence I have ever read in this site... And that is "BAUTISTA TIRED TO OUT BRAKE ROSSI" in turn 10 lap 2 of catalunya race....

If Rossi has his favorite weapon back things are going to get interesting. First the top guys don't like a battle and like to run away. When their pit board shows Rossi closing it messes with their mind. Second when Rossi follows and starts sticking a wheel in there just asking for a battle it has a tendency to un-nerve almost anyone.
He still will have problems in qualifying and probably will have to play catch up, But that makes for the best racing.

I hope that we will have a 4 bike battle:)
But stop talking about 'good track for Rossi' you said that for several races in the beginning but nothing.
Rossi wins not because of 'good track' but because he will have a good day, he have ridden all tracks a million times and if he is in form he will win on a bad track, but JL will be feeling better and he will be harder to beat this week, and Danni is fast here, matter a fact so fast he made the king crash:)
Hope we have a great race

Rossi likes Sachsenring a bit and when a rider feels comfortable on a track and knows his way around and has the bike which suit his style and gives the rider the confidence he wants too it will be just dangerous. The only concern for Rossi is his QP slot, if he messes up it will be difficult if he can get front or second row and his bike is as good as at Aragon or Assen well we could be in for a corker. But just admit Rossi had to make up before getting in first and the whole race Rossi looked smooth. To be honest I'm done with those victories which are almost decided in the first corner creating a gap to the second rider and where nothing happens.

#DrWho yes it might be but so was Misano and all others, if you're suppose to be the GOAT this should not matter, if you are the GOAT you should do well everywhere all the time, otherwise you are not the GOAT.
Cheers Claes
