MotoGP » Healing Lorenzo ‘will push even harder than in Holland’

"I made a huge effort to race at Assen, getting an astonishing fifth position. The situation is still that I need more time to fix the injury though” – Jorge Lorenzo.

the man is clever. seeing how the situation is at motogp, there are only 4 bikes that have the true potential to win the race, 3 other bikes (Cal's Tech3, SB's LCR, AB's Gresini) are dark horses. anyone else, including the ducs sadly, just made up the grid. IMO, if he takes it really easy on next Sunday, the worse,he will get 7th position. but i bet he can do better. So yeah, he is clever, damage limitation.

Jorge will come back so focused as usual, and twice as tough to crack, has anybody noticed the spartan sign on the back of his Helmet, this man is quiet and under stated not modest about the talent he has and does not usually bad mouth or say anything to his competitors, but make no mistake he is the most dangerous competition on the tarmac cool, calculated very consistent but most of all he approaches every race as a SPARTAN WARRIOR. These guys if you look back at history books or have seen the film 300 you will understand how he handles the battle ahead, every race is a spartan battle to Jorge and i would not like to be in his way once the ipod has been put away and he is on the grid staring at the lights to go out,,,fearless totally fearless. But Rossi might win............

I would expect him to finish no lower than 4th in Sachsering after his impressive 5th in Assen. He may be a spartan but this is MotoGP...his rivals smell blood and they will show no mercy. He has two tough races ahead of him.

as long as he is on the bike till the end of the race, it's victory for him, even a 6th or a 7th is good.

the important thing is "he should not fall" other wise he could loose the championship while in the hunt, like stoner last year after Indianapolis where he missed 4 races, and when he came back, the championship was already too far from his sight.

Still think it was silly he raced in Assen for the potential of damaging a recently repaired collarbone but for him to race and to do as well as he did then it wasn't as bad as they first made it out. Great determination but a bit foolish and hopefully he doesn't have another crash to reinjure it. As I'd like to see Rossi beat Jlo when he's 100% healed to quell the haters.

Atleast Assen was predominantly an clockwise circuit, more right hand turns than left handers so he managed to do a race,, but now sachenring is mainly a counter clock wise circuit with only 3 right handers and rest all left handers,, its already not good for his left collarbone injured,, and also the circuit is already the second shortest circuit in the calendar and neither does the 3 straights are long enough to give him time enough to relax his left shoulders... Ironically the 3 short straights are separated by two fast left handers inbetween them,, so only minimum or hardly any time between laps or region of track to relax the shoulder,,

so deciding to race is a big gamble against fitness,, deciding not to race is also a big gamble against dani because it is his happy hunting track,, wow what scenario to make the season more thrilling and odds for world champion to face... Facing these obstacles successfully is amongst the defining qualities of world champion... And JL is surely t

im not so sure it makes a difference if a track is left or right...? if anything, a left hand track is favorable since it keeps your arm tucked in. and believe me, when you have a broken collarbone...? that's EXACTLY where your defense mechanism tells you to keep it. LOL

right hand turns might be the harder ones since you have to lift and extend your arm by the shoulder, but even that can be offset a bit by the bicep and elbow naturally resting across the tank.

while I've experienced a broken collarbone from a highside, I've certainly never ridden with one. I shattered my wrist so it wasn't remotely an option. but i'd think the greatest challenge is any circuit that's stop and go (non flowing) with heavy braking zones. this of course requires full upright, arms extended, and on the binders. which way the track goes from that point is almost inconsequential.

welkom might be a good example of a track like this, good thing it's not in rotation.

shamarone, i think that with 10 left turns, he's going to at least be mentally vulnerable and protective which is a natural instinct...to not to want to hurt yourself further. Lorenzo isn't superhuman, all these antics are PR stunts. He's a corporate machine, self absorbed and full of self belief. there is talent there, but he got to where he was on Rossi's back - technically, as well as with marketing. He was the guy that, all this time was considered 'Mr Safety' who didn't want to hurt himself. Look at how tentative he was after he broke both ankles.

Lorenzo will not 100% in sachsenring, he will 110% maybe ?
He is clever, Would be great surprise if he wins the race for the first time there.. ,'push harder than Assen' means he will try to reach podium... Vamos #JL99
