Even though Lorenzo had a clean break that was relatively easy to fix. He came back too early IMHO for the simple reason that there would be too much pain that early, not only from the fall, the broken bone, but mostly from the wound from the surgery. That means pain medication which dulls your senses, and if there was not pain medication the actual pain hampers your concentration. Either way it make the rider a potential hazard. Today though, was most likely the pressure to go fast in practice, more than being distracted by pain.
