Ducati is going through some seriously dark times in motorsports. Their MotoGP project is continuously drifting in no-mans-water and the Panigale has thrown them in about the same pit in WSBK where they were traditionally very strong.

lol shamarone...

I want to know if the thought of making a V4 customer Ducati engine with the exact same mounting points/weight distru as the panigale so that way they can just throw prototype carbon/alum airboxes into it til it makes those bridgestones work.... that way you can get other chassis makers making the same chassis then that would fit on a panigale... ?

It would be nice to see what a Panigale motor would do in a 1198 chassis. I know it would not be homologated but purely out of interest I bet such a bike would put Ducati back at the sharp end of WSB.
The monocoque chassis never worked well at MotoGP level and it is wrecking their WSB chances now.
