Imagine doing this just two weeks after breaking your left collarbone...

Jorge has a very smooth style with lots of corner speed. It is hard to see when he is pushing except by looking at the times.

But there is a limit and the more corner speed the more likely a vicious high side.

Marquez has had a few in practise so far this season but thankfully he hasn't busted himself up.

I think the Bridgestones play a part- they are very grippy but also very sensitive to temperature- they don't work if they are not warm enough.

In WSB the tires have less grip and you don't see riders highsiding so much.

Seen as GP's have a spec tire anyway they could use less grippy rubber. Would be safer and probably easier for all the teams to get working without spending big bucks on electronic aids.

re: "A terrible roll model for both him and motogp racing direction. He should have never been able to race. Stupid call on his and motogp's part. Makes me angry."

since Edwards was denied fitness I thought for SURE jay would be denied, but I underestimated his "spanishness".

he even raced in opposition to the doc in Barcelona. but of course, what else WOULD an orthopedic surgeon who'd just performed a complex and expensive procedure say...? anything else than "I forbid you" would be malpractice. that being said, this is racing. EVERYTHING'S risk. so...

sometimes you go to Vegas, gamble, and you WIN...? sometimes you go to Vegas, gamble, and you LOSE...? that's the game.

Maybe you have to be cautious when you have such a serious injury, maybe you should stay at home and rest, maybe just ease up a bit...there is a thin line between being a hero and being retired for a stupid injury.

@ hoppy.

"You have to hand it to Jorge, when he highsides,he highsides"!

You got that right.
He's had some of the most spectacular h/sides ever.

Would love someone to put a compulation together with Elton John's "rocket man" playing in the background. lol.
