Its one historical corner.. and like Marquez say the run off area is more then reasonable!! So if they whant to feel more safe i only see the tyre improvement has the option... leave the track has it is because is what make this track special is that corner!! If riders dont feel good they have one solution go slow take t esay on that corner..

Check out what it looks like on You Tube, see the video titled 'Sachsenring - Ducati OnBoard'. It looks like 'going slower' could be even worse for the riders because they'd lose stability under brakes - they are already putting a heavier-than-normal load on the front because of the camber of the turn and so they'd prefer the velocity to help them through the corner. But it's that same camber that causes the risk of the front slipping. You will notice in another on board video, the rider tries to pre-load the right side of the tire to generate warmth in it, before entering the right-hander. Same vids exist for Honda and Yam.

Well it would probably take a national/world committee to make any changes lol... but hows about (next year) they just run it backwards... Like at any track its always fun for a change at track days...

Very scientific but there were other riders going round the same corner and who didn't fall off. They used the same tyres. Even the ones who did fall off managed to go round the corner several times before failing.

curious, when's the last time that circuit was paved...?

old asphalt becomes "polished" with use and invariably loses it's biting edges. problems like this are usually the result of a combination of factors, not just any single one. dani's "I-robot" stepped out faster than it's gyros could react. like, how often do we ever see that...? not very.
