Rossi has shown me nothing to suggest that he's in the running for the championship.

Which brings to mind, how often has the 4th or 5th fastest rider won a championship?

Another thing to bear in mind is that if he's just being consistent and collecting points, that may work if you only have 1 maybe 2 riders that are faster than you. If he wants to win the championship he's going to have to bring it up a level, that means taking risks.

The wind down lap has probably done more for the image of MotoGP than anything Dorna can muster.

So many sportsmen are robotic that when 3 apparent normal humans are on the podium it is a breath of fresh air (still no change with the anthem though...)

For fans of close racing that planned, why not expect that these three new kids on the block is broken too, so we will watch seven in the frame that include Bradl and Bautista. MotoGP should be ashamed behalf a championship. Should we call it motor show ot funny show.

These are 3 riders who know what good racing is all about! They are not afraid of a bit of pushing and shoving and giving it all they can. None of the pussies, the moaners, the ones who cry at the least little hint of any contact! MotoGP needs riders like these 3 to give it back it's status as the top series, the best of the best! Bring it on boys as I am loving every minute!

5 riders within contention means that the championship is becoming more competitive, we can expect lots of excitment, riders will have to take risks if they want the title. I agree that it is no possible to predict the winner but it is safe enough to say that it is between Lorenzo Pedrosa and possibly Marquez and any of the 5 are contenders for second and third.

"He (Pedrosa) needs to build a points advantage now before Jorge is back to full fitness as he is the man who can snatch it away from him".

Sorry mate but Danny threw that opportunity you are talking about away last w/end IMHO. Big time.

Some fools think that CS will be a championship contender if he did not chicken out and quit. However, two championships in thirteen years tells us otherwise. Especially with MM, CS will complain and moan til no end of clean overtaking and clever maneuvers. CS is better off a quitter than racing against MM on a Honda and VR on a dialled-in Yamaka.

@ shamefireblade.

"Rossi has shown me nothing to suggest that he's in the running for the championship.

The win at Assen did not do anything for you?

Rossi has already admitted (several times) that he has to get quicker to compete, but you got it wrong when you said he has to take risks. That's what the faster guys are doing, and all 3 of them ended up in the mobile clinic and 2 of them did not race. That's why Rossi got 16 points. No I believe Rossi is to old and wise (and to many titles under his belt) to take risks. Ironic that Rossi see's Marquez as a young him.
He's a breath of fresh air to the sport.
