@Motojunky

As I said, if he's not willing to push to the limits he won't be in contention at seasons end.

He capitalized in Assen and did well, but failed to follow up in Germany. That is why I have my doubts.

btw, the name calling isn't very clever, that kind of business generally gets left behind in high school.

cheers.

HI
#CMoaner Yes I can guarantee that:) He is not fast enough, and if JL and DP was in it Rossi might have to push, and he almost fell off the bike without them:)
#OZ dude Yes CS would have to work for hiss money, and for your record the Yamaha M1 is dialed in JL is riding it fast every time, Rossi just cant adapt to anything anymore, can't teach a old dog new tricks:)
Cheers Claes

@Claes
what are you talking about, Rossi would have to push.
he almost fell off... Almost is the key word. he had a slide, big deal, did he fall off... No! How many riders crashed on the weekend ....30+ riders. Rossi has 1 slide during the race that nearly threw him off but he stayed on and you make a big deal about that.
how is he not fast enough. did you not see his Qualy time, MM did a 1:21.311 , Rossi did 1:21.493 on his last lap, he was actually under the pole time in every sector but lost out in the final corner. is that not pushing it?
Did you not see the Assen race. who was the guy that was the first to set the fastest lap of the race.... Rossi. then he set another one closing the gap to MM to over take him. then setting another fastest lap to close on Pedro and overtake him for the lead to go on to win the race. yes Jlo was injured but Pedro, MM and Cal were fully fit, noone even came close to even attemp a pass on him.
How do you explain his Assen win??

It's actually a real shame that Lorenzo didn't compete at Assen, because if they went toe to toe there we could at least measure Rossi's improvement. Using Pedrosa as a yardstick is futile because he has always sucked at Assen. In fact he has only won there on a 125cc back in 2002.

@Claes
Funny how you did mention CS in your row of contenders and not deliberately not Rossi. Well, CS quit didn't he? So we will never know..
But I would love to see your Hero CS compete the next round against Rossi. I have a clear recollection of the Laguna race in 2008....

@ Claes........after 3 attempts you finally got the response that you were after. :).

You know as well as the rest of us that the other 4 out of the 5 rate Rossi. (you do too I suspect.)

I think realistically there are only three riders who have a reasonable chance of winning it but it doesn't hurt for Rossi and Cal to be within touching distance.

The last 5 way title fight was arguably 2006, another year marred by injuries to multiple leading contenders, though of varying severity.
