Of course MM and Rossi get along as MM does not see Rossi as a threat. When the season resumes he will have to deal with the real fast men DP/JL. He's had his fun now and will have no time for playing around with slow riders come race day in indie.THE championship big dogs will be making him work hard from here in.

@ Lance

This figure of nine world championships is correct but irrelevant, nowadays it is Moto GP titles that count and the number is seven. If Pedrosa went to Moto 2 and won five consecutive titles he would be an "eight time world champion" but one Moto GP title would mean more. The lower classes are important but once a rider has established himself in the top class his junior achievements should be nothing more than a footnote.

Its a long long way for marc to take over the crown from Rossi as the greatest ever,, 80wins, 7titles, promotional potential and all these are no mean task by any stretch of imagination.

Rossi is the only guy who seems to have performance, skills, results and fun in a near prefect blend. Rossi balances between fun and responsibility as team rider in a superior way...

Marc the ultimate gate pass to strongly promote yourself in contention for greatest rider is jump on an underdog and make it a championship winning bike like what Rossi did to yamaha...

Do not be fooled. Valentino is the master of the media and mind games. So many times in the past, when he knew he couldn't win by racing he would try to 'get inside his rivals head'. Problem is, this tactic has not worked so well lately and he probably sees Marc's ascendancy as an opportunity to 'psyche' out the opposition, not necessarily to re-establish his own position but just to de-stabilise Dani and Lorenzo. Dani might be affected, but good luck with Lorenzo!!
All a bit "dog in the manger".

all rossi needs to do is enjoy the way he is enjoying, and keep taking that podium and get that "feeling" back of being in the top three...
Just hope from indianapolis he becomes more competitive with constant podiums and hopefully end the year so well that next year he could fight for the championship... hell , hope he fights for it this year as well..

Rossi knows he is past his best he still races for fun he loves to battle with anyone on the track and will give another rider credit when it is due he sees marc as the new blood that is going to upset a few people on the grid
