Nothing wrong with living your fantasies through a younger, better competitor I suppose. Gee, MM could even be as good as Ago?
Seriously though, maybe Valentino should concentrate on making a fist of the top notch machinery he has been gifted this year cause it's looking a lot like his performances on the M1 may not have been doing the ducati the justice it deserved either considering the resources and money thrown at it during his two year tenure.

Burro I'm not sure a 9 time world champ, and most popular motorcycle racer in the world, and 2nd most successful winner in the world has fantasies about being anyone else. Lol.

Oh yea they threw so much money and resources into ducati. One frame they didn't even build in two years. Wow. What development.

Funny that they mention the true goat at the end of the article, Kenny was new to Europe and won the championship first try. Even if MM wins the title this year he still won't match Kenny's achievement.

Well, this is it then, history has shown that when an Ex Champ hangs on to a new up-coming winner he knows that his time has come and gone.

MM has yet to win the WC, doing a great job but lets wait till season end before we do.

Rossi knows once the missing two come back he will be pushed back down the ladder and he hates that.

Removed off topic comment.

Anyway, as for Rossi, sad to see him go down this path but we (non fan boys) always knew this would happen

Chill babies talk later

Great rider still can win with inferior bike because they have talent not depent on bike, but 93 & 46 has won in premiere class with short cut, directly ride factory bike, put them on satelite bike and let's see what they'll got :) ... Rossi already prove can not do anything with the Duke (inferior bike) .... so it simply ... what they got all 100% coming from the bike... and more exactly we have to say ... they were rider with a great bike not a great rider :) I hope 93 someday will prove still fast with ride an inferior one

Not sure why we are all surprised - Marquez has been quick in every catagory hes raced in including coming from dead last to win in 125 cc race.

1001 - You are correct in stating that Marquez has come directly on to a works bike but thats because he has earned that. Back in the day a good rider could win on a well fettled privately owned machine (RG500, TZ,s etc) and they did. Not possible now.

If Danny loses another championship will that leave a seat open for Espargaro? He's the guy to take on Marquez, and they both have younger brothers and Pol is something special as well. There should be one almighty shuffle of seats in 2014, Cal to Ducati with Audi backing? Scott Redding to take Bradl's or Bautista's ride? Can't see Rossi or Lorenzo moving but a wave of prodigious talent poised to swamp MotoGP. Marquez won't have it all his own way.

Marquez is an amazing rider but also very impressive for someone so young. He has respect for other riders achievements, he smiles and talks politely. Hes likeable.
Hes a cash machine for MOtoGP.
