Sorry guys but lets get real here. Katie Price, Kim Kardashian, Peter Andre, anyone EVER out of Big Brother, Simon Cowell, Max Clifford etc.

ALL this lot make lots of money and careers out of PR and media manipulation - they have celebrity status and earn millions out of it without actually producing ANYTHING except being celebrities for the most part. And millions of really vaccuous dumb members of the public really eat all this stuff up.

The entertainment world is full of false veneer with no substance that is cooked up for profit (which takes precedence over REAL reality and integrity every time). Manufactured bands, celebs, stories, incidents, relationships etc. You REALLY think there isn't 'manufactured' events and situations in MotoGP?

Naivety. Thats what lets all this stuff happen.

personally think this is prelude to him coming back. I think he thought he could jump in a car and be instantly succesful. His career in the V8 supercar class has been pretty poor and i think he is going nowhere with this. I think he will be back in 2014 with pedrosa out to another team. If I was crutchlow i would be getting a contract sorted pdq.

@ cassyo...I like your thinking.

The only fly in the ointment is the number of posts mentioning Rossi's name. So many are about Casey coming back only to beat Rossi. He won't race again and even if he did shouldn't his battles to beat the other Honda riders, Dani and Marc, be more relevant?
imo Rossi will have his hands full with the returning Lorenzo. Cal, Alvaro, and Stefan are out there too.

A notice worthy to be made about the two threads -(this one vs Rossi's Stoner pass): while the first already overcome the second in posts, within only few hours, the latter is over the hill, hence no real chance to counterstrike .

@ Dacron. I have no problem seeing that the tipping point in all this was the unfortunate tester busting his pelvis, and this pushing Honda into the test offer.

But you can bet that the idea has been circulating about how to get Stoner back on a MotoGP bike for AGES. The PR Guys and Spin Doctors wouldn't be any good at all if they hadn't tried to think of any way possible to achieve this media cash-cow.

Whatever triggered it to happen - you can bet your bottom dollar that whatever media mileage CAN be wrung out of the Stoner/Honda association will be.

Ehhh, whatever. We all know the Honda kit is will sorted. I expect him to be just as fast as he was before retirement. What would have been MORE interesting was if he came back to test the Ducati. That's what I want to see.
