Don-R - "According to speedweek.com, the deal with Ducati is done and signing the contract is a mere formality, to be completed before Indy."
"The deal with Ducati is done and signing the contract is a mere formality" - now where have I heard that before? Oh yes, it was the deal agreed between Cal and Ducati last year.
Oh I would be so, so pleased if Cal led Ducati along and then at the last minute stopped answering their communications, leaving them with poor options to fill their vacant seats.
That would be such sweet poetic justice.

i think cal should take the duc i dont like the duc, i know is the worst choice., but UK drivers and AUS riders went well on the italian bikes in the past and cal has that madness inside of him., so i would say the red monster

Sorry but Crutchlow isnt in the same league as Stoner so no point making any comparison at all. Not even sure he would do any better than Dovi on the Ducati. Dovi comprehensively saw Crutchlow off when they were team mates. Reckon CC should go to WSBk and make his living there. No disgrace and he would probably have more fun too.

@BoZz

Yes, Yamaha stepped in with the offer of a factory-funded pay increase. No factory bike though.

If it were to happen, B. Smith would be moved to the Forward team to ride one of the non-MSMA M1s. Doesn't look like CC will go for it though.

He's getting better at this PR gig now make the teams who your talking to chase you not the other way around. He screwed up last year by telling everyone he was pretty much signed with Ducati when pen hadn't been put to paper. Now though make it into a bidding war and and the best offer will present itself.

Where ever he goes, I don't see him winning the championship, ever. He is no doubt fast, can put in some fast laps, but don't think he can match the front group over a season. Also I'll put money on Stoner coming back someday, and Crutchlow is no Stoner. While Lorenzo, Marquez, Pedrosa Rossi (Stoner?) are there no championship for CC.
