"Honda had three bikes in their garage [in 2011] - this year Casey might be that third rider"

Casey left MotoGP because its a show and not racing, asking him to come back seems pretty selfish and disrespectful of Casey's reasons for leaving in the first place.

He might justify it for the fans at PI, but thats asking quite a lot. Coming back to an organization that exploits riders and has rampant corruption issues.

Casey on a WSBK, that would be cool, and an interesting challenge, Casey on a GP bike, more about marketing than fans imo.

Asking for Casey to return after recently stating his firm intent to never return to GP racing is almost insulting when you think about it.

If he does it he would probably be on the production prototype. If he did well on that bike then Honda can expect quite a few orders for 2014. It would only be marginally slower with the different valves and ECU. As for Bathurst. When he can come from 16th to 5th in a shortened race that was his first time racing a car in the wet then he can handle Bathurst. He has had a lot of practice overtaking cars after being punted out in the first race every round so far.

One Series is enough to prove that he's the fastest rider. And prove that it is not fear that made him decide to quit MotoGP. And wise enough to prove that he hope has a good purpose.

Isn't that where Casey 'tests' at? I believe thats what the commentators said.

5th wasnt bad but some of it was luck. Casey has a long road a head if he wants to keep getting better at V8 imo, what hes doing already though in the short amount of time that he has seems pretty good though, racing against people who have been doing it for a good while.

Casey just needs top 6/8's for the rest of the season and some podiums and maybe a good win. Seems the closer to the front you are in the Dunlop series the less chance you have of being pushed off the track, which would help Casey out quite a bit.

Stoner should not be allowed to wildcard, this is ridiculous. If he wanted to race, he shouldn't have retired, and from what I hear he doesn't want to race, so why are they putting pressure on him?
We don't need him showing up as he pleases to race. We all know how good he is at PI meaning he will probably take points off of championship contenders-is that fair? Honda having an Extra factory rider against the Yamaha's?

If it's going to happen then Honda should be forced to withdraw either Marquez or Pedrosa for the round, but I will be dissapointed for the sport if he does race.

I think ticket sales are low and they are trying to con people into buying them...

Everybody involved at Honda has said he won't be riding a wild card for them this season and nothing in this article has changed my mind.

Don't get me wrong it would be nice to see him back but this is just wishful thinking from the promoter nothing more.

I dont' see him racing at PI.

Its obvious why Honda wants him to test next years bike, if MM is using old stoner data and is leading in points, why not get stoner to pretty much set up his bike for next year?

A test position is perfect for him, he gets to ride, but doesn't have to deal with sponsorships, contracts, politics, constant rule changes, and all the other baggage he left GP because.
