@Paddles,

You might just be right.

I did notice the 888 wildcard entry. Put that together with stoners statement earlier in the week (or late last week) that he will not race at Bathurst because he doesnt feel he is at that level yet, makes it about as official as it can be without a formal announcement.

Dreaduk, you have not the foggiest what you are talking about. Casey has won some of the closest GPs in history after going toe to toe with the best. He specifically joined V8 Supercars to get the close racing that was lacking in MotoGP. Your anti Australian bias is obvious and you sprout rubbish that has no basis in fact. He has the fitness and ability to concentrate that are the two essential ingredients of a good car racer. So you are telling me that an F1 team would not jump at the chance, and the great publicity, to have him do a test drive? Of course they would, if he was interested which he isn't.

@WylieCoyote

"Casey has won some of the closest GPs in history" Err.... hardly. He has usually either escaped (normal method of winning) or moaned about a bike problem. If he wanted close racing why didn't he go to SBK, or even Moto 2? As for F1 teams testing? Hardly mate, he's not nearly good enough in a car, by his own admission he's not ready for Bathurst, hardly the most demanding race in the world, and he is barely known outwith MotoGP. Most global motor sports fans would react thus "Casey Who?" not much publicity there then.

As for your accusation of "anti Australian bias" too bad if I turned out to be an Aussie then?

This would be enough to scare me away imagine if he won the podiums this year have been a pleasure to watch, we have had people up there who realise how lucky they are to have the skill to do a job they can enjoy

Have to say you love taking the pi$$ out of Stoner fans lol
Guess it helps you understand way your gd failed where Stoner won, and lets face it, even Rossi dad is on record as saying the only rider to put fear into Rossi was Stoner.

BTW, you are not an Aussie but if by chance you are post up your address and we can share a beer. I'm Irish so I like to drink , fight drink some more and then sing our guts out, I think you would be great company cheers
