Who should take over Nicky Hayden's Factory Ducati for the 2014 MotoGP season?

Why are crash readers so desperate to see British riders risk so much and set themselves up for such a high likelihood of failure? Is this a crushing lack of insight by home fans or anti-British sentiment from our International community? I'm tempted to suspect (and would hope) it's the former.

Why we would select good riders to help Ducati if they are well know in Motogp for not help the riders like it should be.. Offcorse choosing Cal or Stefan we are talcking about good riders with a lot of potencial but how will be the live for this guys? this is the problem because for 2014 and 2015 etc, there is no more CRT bikes for Ducati finish inside the Top 10, live will be harder and harder and if they dont improve this particular Factory bike will be a big piece of Sht.. Ducati had have enaught years and one list of incredible riders until now, Dovi is allready complaing that dont expect nothingh speacial until the end of 2013 i mean WTF is there Plan? Why they dont put Hirochi ayoama or Toni Elias here on the list i would choose this 2 to go to Ducati, they deserve thi

Cal. Why?

1. He's paid his dues in MotoGP
2. He's not going to get offered one of the factory Yams or HRC's, so he ain't gonna win anyway. So...
3. Take the big paycheque Cal, and roll the dice.
4. MotoGP is fake racing now anyhow, and Cal is from the Uk and isn't enough of a media darling to get the kind of 'support' needed to be more than a supporting actor, he's not getting the main role in Ezpeleta's circus.

Secure your future with Audi's money Cal, do your best for them, then (unless there's been a radical shake-up for the better) do a 'Casey', tell Dorna to ram it and go racing somewhere where you can find genuine competition and a level playing field.

Personally I wouldn't wish the ride on any of these riders. If Ducati could get there act togeter I'd put Cal on it but I just don't see that happening any time soon. If Cal or any of the current crop of talented riders choose to throw a leg over the Duc their career will be over before they're given a competitive bike

I think Mr. Ezpeleta really wants/needs CC to stay competitive. He's already changed the factory rules to allow 4 bikes per team. Factory Yam could therefore run 3 bikes (like Honda with Dovi, Ped, and Stoner, and Tech 3 can have one full proto and one similar to what NGM will run.
