Good move. He had no choice though - Honda and Yamaha have their futures mapped out and he isn't in the plan. And until a new factory joins there will only be Ducati. So, order the new Ferrari and the plush motorhome now and brush up on the dodgy Italian accent.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth...

To everyone strongly criticising Cal's move, try operating in the real world guys.

This is a fantastic achievement and opportunity for Cal. If he makes it work, he'll be a total hero, if it is a complete flop, he'll not have far to look for another ride, and he'd be in a better position than he was in Tech 3, and a sh1t load richer.

He's on the only factory seat available, replacing a former world champion and in a team that has now, finally, acknowledged its flaws, and has major funding to improve.

What planet do some of you people operate on? If any of you were in his position and turned this down, you'd be the idiots!

Please, think in the real world.

Brave move - hope it works out. With the resources of Audi behind them, they can't claim lack of funds etc to develop a decent bike.

And, of course, if it continues to be a "cane", then if he can put it where it doesn't deserve to be in the races, then his reputation shouldn't be harmed - too much.

It is stupid, it's the end of his career, why move from a bike capable for the win to one capable of 6th on a good day? Especially when the team has just gone backwards, they've shown not forward momentum.

Well Cal's always been a kind of win it or bin it type of guy, hopefully he'll give it his all and become the second best ever Ducati pilot.
Not everyone hates Ducati. Go Cal give it heaps.
