@previous comment: Marc was, is and will be in a category in which Smith will never join.

Imo Smith should have stayed in moto2, next year we'll really see what he's made of with all the people joining MotoGP

Why is that? He isn't much worse than Crutchlow in his first season.
Judging him to MM is fair, but apparently everybody fails in that at the moment.

And they didnt forget MM that crashing is a part of a rookie season..he did fall just doesn't matter.

Smith got to within 0.5 sec to the pole and is improving race by race.I definitely think he could be a regular top five finisher by the end of the season. Many said it should have been Scott Redding getting the MotoGP ride this year but I still believ Smith has the better future in the top echelon

Doubt it. Redding seems to be losing the plot at the moment. Every week seems to be 'damage limitation' rather than pushing on and dominating the competition.
Next year Smith will have the advantage of one year of experience plus a bike close to the factory Yamaha.
Redding will be new to the class and on a toy Honda.
I think the results will reflect that.

Redding would need to be another MM to smash Brad. Same goes for Pol. Clearly neither are as good as MM. Both will be rookies on satellite bikes. Smith will have a full season under his belt and if continues to close the gap to the front then they won't get near him until later in the season. 2015 will be a better comparison. Don't expect Redding to get on the big bike and suddenly be running top 6. The only ones to have done that are those that have been pretty dominant in Moto2/250 or WSB champs. Redding is doing great this year, but isn't dominating. I really wish him well though.
