MotoGP » Hayden: Carbon frame had a lot of potential

"We still talk a lot about that frame, why we never tried it - especially when we go to Jerez and we're not close to that lap time I did there" - Nicky Hayden.

as I keep saying..... Rossi only tried the carbon frame chassis on 2 ocasions and imediately rejecting it afterwards. this was the frame where stoner won the last races of the season after his illness (fishing trip), remember that?

I say scratch all that Rossi brought and go back to the CF frame A.S.A.P

@73 mach 3. You say "now that he can speak" erm...what?? He was a world champion. why could he not speak. I've always liked nicky, but this reeks a little like that episode in south park with "captain hindsight".

Easy to speak up now nicky.

The yamaha and Honda have improved, and the ducati is the exact same distance behind. This means the ducati has also improved at the same pace as the yam and Honda.therefore he's talking sh1t and looking for headlines.

The ducati got results because casey stoner was an awesome talent andcould ride the frick out of anything. Thats it.

Calm down people is only saying that have potencial, is not saying that is overal better then the Twinspar they have right now.. The realaty is that Hayden ride for 3 years Carbon chassi and since he arrive at Ducati that he was allways the number 2 rider because he could never fight back is TEam m8s.. So basacly listen to Hayden saying that one TIme maybe one time that he was drunk..lolo and alone on the track he did somethingh amyzing he beat one record..AHAHA was not 10 laps or 20 laps was just that lap that moments Hayden just feeling the Power did one super lap..ahaha What a story.. Maybe if you ask him to do the same again he will crash and get injure..ahaha

Casey took the CF Ducati to 7 wins in the last 2 seasons, not 4 as stated in the article. 3 of those wins came in the last 6 races along with one 2nd, so it is evident to this observer and reasonable to conclude that development of the CF chassis was progressing well.

@ DB8, I think what 73MACH3 meant was, Nicky is now able to talk about the problems because he's being ousted, whereas before he didn't talk so much about Ducati's possible errors and things he didn't agree with, possibly out of respect, or whatever.

Ducati should just focus on SBK, as it's what their heritage is built upon. How about a customer GP bike from them with the trellis frame, the new control ECU hardware/software, 24L of fuel, 12 engines and a soft tire!
