“If I can make it through Saturday I think we can have a good Sunday” - Cal Crutchlow.

I reckon CC is doing great. But lets not get carried away that Cal s going to podium, let alone win.

CC crash-free I think could be mustard around Silverstone - for sure he has the spuds for the high-speed corners and seems to like the place.

BUT.... I cant see anything beating the HRC's at such a fast track. Which means that Cal would have to beat both Factory Yamaha's just to step onto a 3rd spot on the box. And that's without considering potential strong Honda Satellite showings.

Cal might have to ride out of his skin just to get top 6.

He has been banging on all year about not having the same spec bike. He has now had that for the last 2 races, finishing 5th and crashing. The fact is, that tech3 bike is as good as the factory bike yet Cal has been using that as an excuse all year. As Stoner said in last weeks MCN, it is virtually a factory Yamaha, very little difference in performance.

Whilst I have heard lots of different things about just how factory spec the Tech 3 is, taking Stoner as gospel on this seems odd.

The guy that retired last year, and has since ridden for Honda in testing is given inside information on how Yamaha set up their satellite teams? If I was Yam I wouldn't want him being prive to that information!

@ Gilles. His interview he states he doesn't have and hasn't had ALL the same bits at the same time that the factory team have had. Its probable the the difference is tiny - but a this level minutiae count.

Anyhow - you assume that if the bike is the same then the overall support package is the same. Would you expect the full factory Yamaha team to be better than Tech 3? More staff, more equipment, more everything? Of course you would - if it wasn't why are Yamaha spending the money?

If you don't like Cal - fine - just say so. But you it seems are trying invent 'factory kit' as a stick to wallop him with, by presenting it as fact that Cal has equal support to JL and VR, when of course he does not.

Ah. Just took the trouble to look at Gilles' other posts. Perhaps best described as 'combative' there is also a full history of anti-Crutchlow posts (he does however seem very fond of MM - fortunate for Gilles that he likes a guy who always has the absolute best package - convenient).

There's also a nice pop at all of Britain as Gilles states that all Brits 'bottle it' I seem to recall among his posts.

Anything thought provoking or informative in any of the posts? Er... No.

Would it be too far to suggest Troll-like behaviour?
