"I've never seen a rookie like him, in all the motorsports I know" - Valentino Rossi.

The term "rookie" usually means a first year candidate who needs to earn his stripes and develop with experience. Marquez defies the standards and is now racing like a multi-year veteran. No one is faster, and only a few have his mindset. A first year rider, yes. A "rookie", no. Rossi is just stating the obvious. We are witnessing true greatness and we should enjoy the show and not use it to "hate" others.

Time will tell.. I think Rossi history was amyzing at is start because he didnt take long time to leave honda and start winning with other bike.. that was amyzing because was big slap for the so Strong Honda, they had lost some good years thankx to the mix between Rossi and Yamaha.. I dunno what will be marquez atitude he can also get tired of Honda and risk other bike and we dont know what will happen, same has Rossi that was a big surprisse on the 1 race of 2004 and all year and after=) But defenatly Marquez is one very young talente kid that allways prove is points since he enter in 125cc is funny because even is birthday is on 17 february just one day after I guess is destany..jeje

@ Fan

You just love to dish on Rossi. Whats outrageous is that you are obviously not noticing that MM is Blitzing everyone.
JLO/ Dani aren't slouches and their hands are full. They are at the top of their game. Who do you want Vale to be replaced by? Crutch is doing a fantastic job, but I don't think any of the current or new wave of Moto2 guys are gonna come in hop on Vale's bike and trounce MM...
Its gonna take a new direction from Yamaha to get any of their riders close. BTW I'm a yamaha . I'm not trashing them, its just the swing of the pendulum. Every few years the guys on top get beat and they come back harder and stronger. MM is Beating all the top guys....

I believe Lorenzo and Stoner would be the only ones that could bother him with the same bike. Similar talent as MM but both with different learning curves. Seriously I'm nowhere near a Stoner fan but who would've expected Stoner to be a 2 times world champion on a poor Duke after his mitigate rookie season ? So patience people, I think it's too early with MM..
