'I didn't feel much pain, because I received an injection to dull the pain, but I was lacking strength and was feeling tired by the end' - Marc Marquez

Saw the replays and the only flag I saw was the yellow flag at the other side of the sand trap behind the wall, I mean you are traveling at almost 200mph and they wave one flag half a mile away. Another thing, had Marc been closer to Cal, Cal would have been either seriously injured or dead. Clearly the organizers needed either more flag personnel or better technology such as high intensity yellow LEDs around the track to warn the riders.

The right equipment is important, in fact without it it is near impossible to win a championship, recent comparative exemples include Jonathan Rea who was given a couple of rides on Casey's bike when injured, all all accounts Jonathan is a respected rider, extremely experienced and at the top of the game yet his rersults did not make any impact as we all expected. The same applies to Rossi who is in the twilight of his carrer, he has the same equipment as Lorenzo yet he routinely finishes 10 second behing Lorenzo. Bradly Smith versus Cal same story. So take nothing away from Marquez, he rightly could stand on the podium of the best ever but before he achieves this he will have to keep his wits about him. It must be remembered that the very best riders in the world seldom crash but marquez is at the top of the number of crashes this year in MotoGP, letting his youthfull exhuberance overtake is senses. In theory, as he matures, he should become more consistent and settle down. .

"cannot condemn Marquez enough for being utterly stupid, should have been 10 points and a fine"
MM said he didn't see the flag. So to add to your accusation he is also a liar and should be banned from riding for 2 years.
"Rossi lernt how to go fast slowly and rarley made a
So why did Rossi recently say "Marquez is better than me because I crashed more in my first year."

I hope MM gets 4 penalty points then we can watch him start from the back of the grid and carve his way through like pac-man to win. Love how he teased JL with his front wheel then left it to last lap last corner. Rossi-bred kid to the core. Sit back and enjoy next 10 years folks...

Yeah I remember Biaggi getting penalised for missing waved yellows at the end of a main straight (fast and slipstreaming) - and...right where there was an absolute sea of Rossi fans! :-/

Spies, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, now Marquez. These are just a few of the riders who have recently had shoulder or collarbone injuries.
I think Dainese and similar manufacturers need to be urgently re-evaluating their D-air and similar systems.
It could be argued that recent injuries could have been worse without air-bags but we don't see big race suit inflations immediately after accidents like we used to when those systems were in their early days. Injuries seem to be getting more frequent, and sometimes very serious and i am sensing that the air-bags seem to have lost some of their initial promise and effectiveness.
