Lets just get this straight there's only one factory Yamaha ask Ben Spies!! This same bike has almost destroyed Ben. Rossi knew he was going to get second best from the factory and today it proves it. Struggling to fend off 2 satellite Hondas and running out of fuel on the slow down lap "work that one out!!" Whilst Lorenzo's hammer and tongue at the front end to take the victory from the factory Hondas. Rossi is making the best of the deal he's got and sets the bike up for the race not a flying lap, for him its the chequered flag that counts.

@above
i was also thinking on the same line..there cant be such a difference in similar factory bikes..there may be more to it..
CC commented that VR also must be thinking the same as how JL MM are riding so fast..

Anyways VR is a fighter and i hope he will get rewarded soon.. keeping fingers crossed..

GO VR..

Maybe Jorge's special fuel tank has a secret compartment?

Similar allegations were thrown at the Ducati a few years back...

Maadie, where did Cal allude to him or Rossi being on inferior equipment? Would like to read that...

Why does JLo always seem to have bundles of front end grip but VR not so as he often states. That's what puzzles me, apparently that's the difference between him getting back on form again or not. It's like he's carried the Achilles heel over from the duke. Maybe the duke has got into his head after all and damaged one or two fundamental traits of his that gave him the edge over the rest.

Don't get me wrong i am a fan of his but I just can't get my head around it.

Savage, it was ben (spies) not cal (cratchlow).
search at CycleWorld (january 3rd, this year) and you can read the following: "I'll admit it was frustrating to look on the other side of the garage and see everything was perfect. My teammate, Jorge Lorenzo, was winning races and, eventually, the world title. I know his engine, brakes, clutch, suspension and tires were the same as mine. You don't want bad things to happen to someone else, but it's hard -not just for the rider but the team, as well- to see everything going right on their side and wrong on our side." and much more..

Rossi is still slower than than the Spaniards but to me he is riding great, he looks good on the bike, and he still seems to be able beat anyone who is riding at his same pace. Poor Bautista has turned into his punching bag.

Will he ever manage to find the pace to ride with the leading trio I don't know. He probably doesn't know himself, but it would be great viewing if he did.

@Jimbo
JL has more front end grip vs Rossi as he is continuously riding the same bike for years and development has been centered around his riding style but rossi just arrived this year and this year no technical changes made just the setting..

@savage
i didnt say CC said JL had superior kit than himself or VR
I was referring to the SURPRISE that CC had, even though he is racing in the premier class for some time now and knows the the yam kit of JL and VR far better than us viewers..
BTW do you think even if JL had a better kit..(who knows..i dont know neither can i say..)
can CC or anyone else openly say this..?? !!
(CC's surprise seems like JL might has something in that fuel tank..NO2 may b, just kidding :) )
