U know Mikky, I never thought of that.. Very interesting insight that.

Thy only think pricking me with that theory is that would VR not have been showing more frustration since Assen and maybe have voiced a couple of controversial comments up to now. Maybe not as he is under contract for next year, but if you are correct, either he doesn't know they slipped a few of JLos extras on his bike for that weekend or he's doing a hell of a good job staying calm.

I'd like to believe its true cos it means one thing, he is still the Rossi of old.

Come on y'all, lets here it!! I'm talking bo@&"cks

@ Maadie

OK, put it that way it would make much more sense and there could actually be some truth behind (the list of "issues" Ben Spies faced was a bit too long to ascribe to pure coincidence ).

And that would work in two ways: 1. long term development (more suited to Lorenzo) and 2. short term on single races set up and readiness of team

VR result is 13 seconds behind JL. he lost almost 2 seconds on the first lap and the last one.
on average he was mostly .5 seconds behind when not overtaking or battling with BS and AB.
the gap, on the same lap was .2s (worse for VR) at lap 11, 16 and 17.
he never went down to 2.02 something whilst JL never went above 2.03.
so VR has a problem in the first 10 laps (gap increases .5 seconds a lap) and he improves after that (down to .2seconds gap on a clear lap).
he obviously needs to do better but we do not know the technicalities beyond the hows and the whys..

Worked it out for you

Yamaha have made Rossi's bike slower so that all the yellow flag wavers can get a better look at

This is in the hope that they can sell more bikes and T shirts. Other ideas are sell ice cream in between practice sessions.

ALL THE ABOVE IS TONGUE IN CHEEK

Why on earth would they want to make his bike slower ? JL needs him to be in the mix with the Hondas ?

I'm not saying they made it slower, but maybe the budget or the know-how is directed at one bike. As I said it's a fact that when J-Lo was injured, all of a sudden Rossi towelled the whole field, including a fully fit Marquez.

Oh dear,not another conspiracy theory!
First we have Dani being ordered to finish behind his team mate,NOW we have Yamaha deliberately knobbling Vals chances of winning races by giving him a second rate bike!
Man,this place is turning into Conspiracy Central.
Whats next?
The Moon landings were fake,Titanic wasnt Titanic,Princess Diana was murdered and Elvis is working in a burger bar in Albuquerque!

he had a great start, then got passed for the first few laps, then pulled it back. Whatever happened in laps 2 - 6 cost him dearly.

We were just outside the first corner watching it, and watching him reel AB and SB in was impressive, but his pace dipped again, then picked up to finish fourth.

Definitely something not at 100%, but I think its getting better.
