Let's hope Nakamoto sticks to his guns then and keeps rating Stoner higher than Marquez?

2015, Val will have a new team mate at Yamaha.

Stoner was fast if he got out of bed the right side but, he only won titles when the planets aligned, nothing in the tiddlers on the way up and IMO has gone soft.

Saying this..I give him more credit than Doohan, who stayed on the same best bike against next to nobody to win all his titles.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time..

stoner couldn't develop a cold
he won his titles on bikes others developed
Shakennstirred.

So Dani developed the Honda. Why hasnt he won on it?
Loris developed the Ducati. Why didnt HE win on it?
You dont develop a bike for someone else to win on mate!
Loris finished 200 points behind Casey on the bike He developed. How come?
It should have been the other way around right?
Dani spent 5 years developing the Honda without a title win.Along comes Casey and wins straight away. How come?

Hoppy...You are probably right.
My problem is that I cannot see any advantage to Honda in getting someone who is no longer active in racing to ride their bikes. I'd be surprised if Casey came back from such a layoff to lap as quick as Marc & Dani. Besides, the way Marc and Dani are riding, Honda are getting all the data they need, Casey, or anyone else, won't add to that. His opinion on the future 'customer' bike may be of value but is laying out so much dosh worth it?

I wonder if Ducati offered Casey a 'jolly', sorry I mean a test program.

Truefan....I like your post, made me smile.

When you have a spare moment count up the anti-Rossi posts from Stoner fans on a Rossi thread (or any thread come to think of it).

I'm having to go 'commando' myself. Hailwood is no longer with us, Read, Lawson, Mamola no longer ride. Hopper couldn't avoid injuries and Dovi is not giving me anything to get excited about.

Did anyone see his last outing in the V8 race at Winton 2 weeks ago?
He's not coming to grips with this catogory of racing very well.
Another DNF (and a huge repair bill) may make him change his mind about returning to GP racing.
