Dear oh dear, some people seem to just totally ignore the fact that Valentino Rossi has won 9 world titles - yes 9 of them. Compare this to the mere 2 won by Casey Stoner, the rider the same people seem to think is the best ever, the rider of the century and all the other attributes constantly thrown at him!! Valentino Rossi has proved how good he is, he has done it all, he has been there, done it and continuous to take part in a sport that is his life and his love since he was first able to think!! If Valentino carries on the way he is, finishing in 4th place, making up more places than any other rider there, still giving us exciting racing, then it will be good enough for me and his millions of fans will probably agree.

You can all harp on about how fast Stoner was, but let's face it, he will never ever accomplish anything like Valentino has and you know what, that's what he just couldn't take!! Stoner walked away, he left the sport he said he loved, but that was just talk because if he really felt that way he would have stayed and made some effort to sort out what he was complaining about. No, Stoner just walked away and left his fans in limbo with only their short lived memories to keep them going!! Valentino Rossi is what a sportsman is all about!

Mr Herewego, how does it feel to know the rider you clearly worship was fair and squarely outridden by a rider who according to you, blew in for a few years and wasn't even that passionate about the sport? In the years they competed together, including a rookie satellite year on cheng shins, 4 years on a no budget ducati and standout DORNA enemy no.1, Casey Stoners stats are far superior to anyones including Rossi's and you can't get a fairer comparison than that.
Surely that's got to make you think?

What obvious to me, Rossi will never achieve to beat Stoner more than Stoner beat Rossi when they race each other. As far as I'm concerned, Rossi only managed to get 2 titles when Stoner around.

Rossi is a sportsman? Not to me. His "Hit-N-Block" passes doesn't set as an example to me. It's a cheating. Hit faster rider to make them off their raceline and block them so they had no other place to go. When other rider do the same to follow his example, they get punished. Some of his victim even got injured from his actions.

That is why some recognized Stoner as a Genius. He didn't need to play dirty to win races. He made Ducati GP07 and Honda RC213V to win respective 1st titles is hardly repeatable by other riders.
