From what I see I don't think Dani will beat MM in a battle to the line. Dani wins races by pulling a gap and holding it. Last year was really the first year on big bikes that I saw him fight for it. And now this year he has reverted back to his ways of accepting defeat. He should already be riding as if he has nothing to lose. I just don't see that in him right now. Lorenzo rode that way in Silverstone and I expect it to continue but for dani to win it or even to finish 2nd he is going to have to be willing to fight hard for it. Maybe all the injuries have screwed with him in some way. Understandable... From a mortals perspective. To win WC's at this level one has to be willing to risk a fall. I think part or VR's decline is due to the same thing. It was the injury that slowed him down. IMHO . Dani is still just as fast as MM or JL I just don't think he has the same desire ... MM will be 2013 MotoGP champ. The question is "will anyone be able to stay with him in 2014"?

Herewego.
The only one here talking sh*t is you mate.
Nothing new there then.
Dont you ever get fed up of pissing on Casey Stoner?
Obviously not.
Nearly a year since he left and people still cant help hating on him.
Only goes to show how much they feared him.

re: "If Yamaha bring new parts and both guys Lorenzo and Rossi start to be faster"

ok let's theorize for a minute and lets say they DO bring new parts...? and lets say these new parts DO magically make them faster...? right then, now what...?

unless the new part is a flux capacitor allowing time travel to alter history and kill john connor...? the damage is done. Marcus can basically phone in the next 6. technically, he only needs to be leading by one point by the time the checkers fly at Valencia to be crowned "WORL' CHAMPEEN".

and the b!tch of it all is marc ISN'T going to throttle back, not even a lil' bit. if i read the script correctly, he's penciled for at least 3 more wins...? Taragon (the spicy grandprix), Motegi. and Valencia. all these rounds will fall under "Marky's Machine".

there must be hype generated and headlines printed. it's what the people want... or more specifically... it's what the people will come off the dime for. who is dorna to deny them...?

Not over till the fat lady sings, but Marc is is the driver seat right now and on a roll. The thing that could get him, is he is not interested in second or third place, at all,and is willing to keep pushing, no matter what. Makes for good entertainment, amazing pretty much all of us. Hope he makes it to the finish line on the last six races. Slow, behind, second or third, or ride to preserve the championship, do not seem to be in his vocabulary. He wants to win every race. He is definitely one of the most no excuse riders I have ever seen ride and comment on the races later, even when they don't go his way.

If Pedrosa doesn't win the championship this year, he never will.

Unless Marquez & Lorenzo have break downs or injury, Pedrosa will not win.

Marquez will be even stronger next year so if he has no break downs or injuries he will win the championship for many years to come.

@shadow

Totally agree, as much as I like Pedrosa, to me he is just a journey man. The only challengers for the title in the near future are Lorenzo and Marquez (discounting dnfs/injuries).

....Been A Big ROSSI Fan from 1996 wot he done 4 da sport is simply amazing .....

Apart from raising the public profile of the sport to create revenue and profit for Carmelo and a select few, exactly what has he done for the sport??

Before Rossi I watched GP racing on TV, I still do today so nothing's changed there. There's only 4 competitive bikes on the grid mixed in with some 2nd tier satellite machines and 3rd rate CRT machines to fill the grid. If you wan't to get a competitive MotoGP seat you need a Spanish passport or are able to bring heaps of cash. I don't see how the Rossi era has filled the grid with competitive bikes with seats made available to talented riders that might not be able to bring the sponsor dollar......
