Drop all three US rounds?! The general public are pretty dense when it comes to "world" motorsports competition but with 10 million registered motorcycles I think it's safe to say the US is an important market nevertheless. Drop Indy for sure tho.

market size and ridership don't change the fact that motorsports, let alone motorcycle racing are less recieved in america. With that mind one should ask there question, where is the business sense in spending millions of dollars on races?

People don't buy vehicles if they've never heard of them. One way to make sure a chosen marque is on the tongue of the general public is through motorsports programs. Simple as that really.
Oh and the fact that humans have thrived on competitive events since forever also plays a fairly important role here.
