JL's Silverstone win was sublime - he got that Yamaha ahead of the HRC's when it had no business being there.

The win was a demonstration of JL's ability rather than the bike's - MM & DP had the better package (as they have had all year).

I think JL is making the Yamaha look more competitive than it really is - Honda's budgets have told within the lunatic rules framework and HRC are now unbeatable for the WC. I think the best JL can hope for is to nick the odd result, but the WC (for riders and Mfrs) was a done deal some time ago IMO.

I havent given up on Jorge just yet!
He will fight to the bitter end,i am convinced of that.
But it is looking like a seriously hard task now.
I would love to see him have a go on that Honda, just to see what he could do with it.

I'm wondering now if the Silverstone result where the Satellite Honda's showed more strongly is a sign of things to come for the rest of the year?

I'm thinking that Honda now have such a commanding advantage with the Repsol team, that maybe they are loosing the leash and turning the wick up on the Gresini of Bautista & the LCR of Bradl, in the attempt to really kick sand in Yamaha's face for the rest of the season.

JL is the only fly in Honda's soup, but I think maybe HRC are going to capitalise on their significant machine advantage - making podiums much harder for Vale & CC, and squeezing JL off the box as well if they possibly can.

Sorry folks, but actual riding talent isn't enough to stop the massive Honda juggernaut (cos riding talent has been marginalised by OTT technology). The riders WC is pretty meaningless when there are maybe 6 different levels of support and competitiveness in MGP.
