Jambop, make your mind up, did DP highside all by himself, or did he do it because MM brokle the traction control? If the traction control did break you can hardky blame DP.

I guess there is an investigation because MM has form, and has come very close to seriously hurting folks several times now. Running into the back of DP at that time on that corner was pretty dim. Several top riders have now stated he is pushing very hard and getting away with it. Possibly sour grapes, but worthy of investigation. I like the closeness of the racing and occassional paint swapping, but it should be the exception rather than your default style. I guess the authorities will still have Marco Simoncelli in mind and the possible parallels with events and comments leading up to his tragic accident.

Why this assumption that the contact was Marc's fault?

marc was on the outside and Dani ran wide. If it had been a dive up the inside by marc then i could see it but no... As usual Dani lost his cool when put under pressure by a better rider. Just like in Philip Island last year.

As to the tasteless marco in the making comment. Yes there are similarities...a talented rider being demonised by an increasingly frustrated terminal bridesmaid Pedrosa.
Like Marco/Dani this crash was caused by Dani losing his cool and then bitches first.
The kid needs to STFU and concentrate on his riding.

Same as the marco/dani crash too, Dani lost his cool, and the bitched about the other rider.

He should concentrate on his own riding, maybe then he wouldnt spend so much time in hospital.

That this is even being investigated is quite ridiculous. It shows Dorna's inablility to be consistent and to leave politics out of it. Cortese chopped De Angelis' wheel when overtaking him today, causing De Angelis to crash. No investigation whatsoever. In Brno, Barbera completely missed his breaking point and clattered into the back of Corti taking him. He did the same thing to Corti tha he did to Pedrosa in Misano last year. No investigation.

@smokinghaddock
I would like to see the telemetry that tells exactly when that sensor was actually broken. will we ever see that ..I doubt it the sensor could have been broken after the fall and the bike was being taken back to the pit, As yet I have seen nothing that confirms when it was broken only that it was. As to MM do you honestly hand on heart say that what happen there was the result of some reckless manoeuvre ? Come on if you do the there is no hope for moto gp as a spectacle, this is racing not international crochet!

MM rides so increibly close to the back of others with his aggresive tactics, and so increases the possibility of contact. Subject to deliberate brake testing, then it is always the follwing riders resposibility to avoid an accident. Inevitably all riders will occassionally run wide or brake just that little bit earlier. The guy behind has to leave enough room to deal with it. I was taught as a racer to slipstream very slightly to the side so that if anything happens to the bike in front you have a chance of running past it. MM doesn't play by these rules. Makes him very exciting to watch but a bit uncomfortable to race with.
