Marquez quote
"After the race the team told me that I touched a little bit his cable for traction control. It's a strange thing. Never happened. Then when he opened the gas he crashed. I cannot say much because that is so unusual."

Marquez front wheel was a good distance away from Pedrosas back wheel, from then on Marquez picked the bike up and run wide. I'm at a loss to see what part touched.

Finaly why also is Pedrosa being summoned?

@DamZen
It is alleged that Marquez's elbow scraper 'cut' the offending cable. So they say...
I expect Pedrosa is obliged to be there to give his version of events.
All this nonsense about being worth a penalty because of an accumulation of events is missing the fact that a penalty points system is in place now and if any rider gets 4 points its a back of grid start, 7 points is a pit lane start and the star prize for 10 points is a race exclusion. Marquez currently has 2 points from Silverstone.
Now ask yourself - was this event alone as serious as Silverstone? If so 2 points, if not then 0 or 1 point so no further action (until point #4)

This just shows what a farce MotoGP is becoming! You have a brilliant rider doing what he should be - trying to win. A racing incident occurs through sheer fluke and there is hell to pay! Where is it going to end - maybe they should install horns and wing mirrors - then there would be no excuse! Either that or have a speed limit on every bend! Or, maybe have a lane system, so that only one bike can go round a race track in their designated starting lane . Then there would be no risk of a bike touching another!!!!!! What do you call this again ?? Is it not "racing"!!!!

I really dont think that Race Direction have enough to justify a penalty and nothing will happen. So Marc can race on with impunity anyhow IMO.

I also don't think a penalty would make a blind bit of difference. MM hasn't changed his attitude one iota after ANY of his incidences or penalties, nor (to my knowledge shown ANY genuine remorse when his actions have endangered or even injured anyone).

The concern is that he won't learn and the predicted 'Big One' will come. If that crash harms someone else the MM of old will continue unfazed. The further worry is that Big One harming himself might not even faze the lad, unless it was career or life ending.

All racers risk their lives & accept it. Its true though that some present a greater risk & higher incident probablity than others.

If every time there' s a crash and race direction are involved, the sport will eventually become sterile and boring like the precession of F1, this is what makes bike racing more exciting, edge of the seat stuff, the more people debate and push blame (unless its blatantly a dangerous move) then let them race, if you don't want to watch an adrenalin pumping sport without moaning then go and watch Bowls or something........

What is "Hard but Fair" and what is "deliberate foul" or "overly-dangerous" or "reckless"?

If you are a racer and a guy rides you off-track or crashes into you in an overly-aggressive move then you aren't going to be happy. Accidents happen etc. but we aren't talking about those.

I have to admit that while I try to be objective MM does get under my skin a bit. Best way I can describe it..

We've all met that little kid who is sneaky - you gave you a kick from behind & then ran away - the one you weren't allowed to belt cos he was smaller than you so he smugly got away with it? MM makes me think of one of those kids.

In M2 he'd stuff a bloke using his lighter weight to out-brake, nearly take the guys front wheel away, shove him wide, then scarper. His bike's speed & the dodgy move saw to it there could be no payback at the next corner. That's gotta drive you nuts if you're the guy getting done over & he gets away with it over n over, & you aren't allowed to sort him out either.
