Maybe I'm being unfair to MM, but its hard to warm to a kid like that, and you find yourself wishing someone would sort him out.

Racing at 200mph is no place for dodgy manoeuvres or for settling scores. I think maybe that's why Race Direction are making a meal of this (even though I'm sure they won't actually issue any penalty).

I think they want to try and diffuse the situation BEFORE there's a regrettable incident, rather than when its too late?

Bert77...your reasoning is not logical. The "clip" as you put it, "touch" as everyone else puts it, did nothing to Pedrosa...watch the race clip. It's not MM fault the sensor was cut. That's what caused the problem for Danni. Race direction can't punish him for anything in this event, he did nothing out of the ordinary.
