MotoGP » Marquez, Pedrosa agreement 'almost impossible'

'What needs to be understood is whether this could have been avoided – both the incident between the two riders and the accident itself – because those are the two important aspects' - Javier Alonso

I thought it was a clear indication that he is concerned about Marquez and the other riders safety.
He also acknowledges his talent but thinks he has areas he needs to work on, absolutely nothing wrong with it and right on the money in my view.
Stoner has an opinion as multi World Champion, not affected by who he is contracted to, you may not agree with him but why do you think it portrays him as not liking racing?
You're simply trying to discredit one lot of 'haters' by being a hater yourself, try a new approach.

Marc Marquez is doing what nobody thought he could - winning the title!! To me, it all just seems like total jealousy! How can a rookie be doing this? Both Pedrosa and Lorenzo just cannot cope with this young lad and it seems no matter what they try to do, Marquez out wits them both!! If it hadn't been Pedrosa that had come off, there would not be such a furore, but because, once again Danny's chances of winning a title have been thwarted, his team have got to protest. These two are both Honda riders, so surely Honda will not want to upset Marquez too much as he is probably going to win the title, but they have to be seen doing something for Pedrosa's sake. I can't see Honda penalising Marquez as they will be cutting their nose off to spite their face!! Marquez is the best thing to have happened to Honda - and they know it!!!

"Stoner has an opinion, and as multi world champion blah, blah" Stoner always had an opinion and most of the time he talked a load of rubbish, so who wants to listen to him!! Can you imagine if this had happened to him - you would never, ever hear the end of it!!!!!

@Conrice
"Super-sic's accident (may he RIP) happened because he's a tall rider and got stuck underneath the bike."

You are absolutely wrong here. Sic has same riding style as MM (very aggressive). He had so many crash involvement with just one penalty on that single season before he got the "Big One". This I think is what Dorna is trying to avoid.

What happened about the crash at the start of the Spanish GP in 2006 ?
A brake bar protector was made mandatory.
Was it deemed necessary to sanction a rider ?
No.
Why did Pedrosa fall off ?
A sensor cable broke.
Question therefore is.
Is this a witch hunt ?

Herewego, it's not Honda who is considering penalizing Marquez. Too busy talking to listen.
It's not that he severed the cable,it's the manner and the frequency in which he rides over the limit that worries most people, including Race control, Suppo, Nakamoto, Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedro, Smith, journos, many fans etc etc...
but what would they know?

Any penalty should be judged purely on what happened BEFORE Pedro crashed - so was what Marc did worthy of penalty points...??

Well thats up to RD - but if it was, then they should punish ANYONE, in ANY of the classes, for ANY contact - and then, I won't want to watch Motogp anymore...
