I hold up my glass to Casey Stoner.

His skill cannot be denied.

That a guy he competed with,
seven years his senior,

carries on as a racer, even tho he might get beat.

Carries weight with me and my thoughts of what is great.

That's 'cause Dorna was meant to give it to Rossi 3 years ago, but he never retired.

I suspect regardless of his 2 WC's it'd be because in terms of premier class wins that surpass most of his legendary predecessors? WC on 2 diff bikes? etc.
