Hmmm,not an easy one this.
Wasit 50/50?
Maybe so.
But Jorge did have a point that Race Direction did take a long time to black flag Marc and so the incident COULD have been avoided.
But it is not the guys on track responsibility to lat a guy out of pit lane.It is the guy coming out of pit lane who has the responsibility of entering the track safely.
But Jorge did say he was braking late into Doohan so,what can you say.
No harm was done and both riders remained upright.
I havent heard of any complaints going in to RD yet.

He only stayed out one more lap than the 'made-up rules' allowed.

Was he supposed to have been black-flagged in pit lane?

The delay was due to no one knowing what to do because there is no clear precedent for this.

Jorge expecting him not to be there makes it sound like it was already cooked up in advance....

Savage.
Jorge was not expecting to see Marc coming out of the pits because he knew Marc had done a lap too many!
Nothing to do with it being cooked up!

Was he supposed to be black flagged in pit lane?
I suppose the answer to that is yes,he should.
If RD knew he had infringed the rule, why did they let him back out in the first place?
They were slow to react as Jorge later said when he was interviewed.
When Marc was seen bypassing pit lane and starting his 11th lap,RD should have sent someone straight to Marcs garage and told them that when comes in,he stays in.

Hoppy.

Race direction had to make a decision in a minute and a half and have someone rush to MM's garage and stop him jumping on the bike?

There is no clear precedent for this so expecting a ruling to be made in a minute and a half is just crazy IMO.

Lorenzo was always loud critisising Simoncelli and Marquez, but lately he is the one who clashes into other riders (actually Marquez). He's not very creditible with this kind of behavior.

Rev king, what are you talking about? From what I saw for the last two races there is one rider who has ran into another rider. Lorenzo hitting Marquez on both occasions!! That is reckless. Are you watching the same race???

Now what if marc makes another mistake in motegi under pressure... Since being the so far rookie he really had no pressure about results and fear of talk about under performing, infact he was performing above what was expected from him... But now its his championship to lose and this situation could play into the hands of Lorenzo, because Lorenzo is always cool and smooth while marc is just the opposite...
