Oyg. Dorna want diversity ffs. Dorna have more to gain by having riders from a range of countries challenging for a championship than all Spanish. Think about it what does dorna want? Money wouldn't it benefit from having a range of riders from other countries doing well so world interest rises making more global money? Spain has great youth programs and have focused on that more than any other country, of course they have a wealth of talent to choose from.

Maybe Dorna do not do a good enough job selling their product to foreign interests? The more homogenzied MotoGP becomes the less interesting it is to audiences abroad. The only thing positive for GP's stock ticker is all the interest and motivation to turn Marquez in to the next Rossi, unfortunately Marquez can fake a smile, but he won't ever ring quite like Rossi, people can see through fakes, no matter how many people troll websites to promote Marquez as some sort of demigod/hero for the less critically inclined folk needing a bit of hero worship.

Now Pol and his brother, they are much closer to what Rossi is so far as charisma :) But they don't have big oil money behind them, so it will be interesting, anyone know where to pull ratings statistics for GP races?
