Much as I wanted Jorge to win (MotoGP title)- that went to Marc Marquez and I concede Marc has to be my star. Not only for the win but that he was the youngest and the first rookie since "King" Kenny Roberts 35 years ago. An outstanding achievement. This is taking nothing away from Jo Lorenzo though.

for the specific question 'star in Valencia' would be Jorge Lorenzo because he had tried very hard even when he had a slim chances of winning the WC plus didn't have support in the track from other Yamaha riders.
Dani Pedrosa and Bautista from Honda played a better role.
Marc M was not under pressure at all. JLO was under pressure. He tried very hard to stall the Honda rider plus hold on to the lead, so that the other Yamaha riders could catch up but didn't materialise.
A phenomenal effort by Jorge Lorenzo.

Magnificent achievement by Marc but the ride of the day has to be Jorge.
He had absolutely no choice but to come out guns blazing and thats exactly what he did.
I have never seen a more determined defence of a title.
Utterly fantastic performance.

....not only because he won the title, but because he was SMART ENOUGH NOT to tangle and allow himself to get worked up. To be able to temper that aspect of his personality SURELY took a lot of self control. Him not buying into the fight (despite his natural tendency to do so) showed maturity and foresight for the end game. I am a firm believer that he would have fought JL for the win in the typical MM fashion had he secured the championship a few races back. He had too much to lose to fight during this race, hence why he didn't give Dani too much trouble (basically letting him take 2nd).

the Honda's would have slaughtered JLO in Motegi, if JLO tried this in Motegi. Different track. Valencia has many tight corners. JLO made full use of the M1 stability.

Who the hell voted for Rossi???.

Good point mate what a useless team mate no help what so ever to JLo.

When JLo so no help coming his way and pulled the pin he clearly showed why he is Yamaha's number one rider.

Great race JLo can't wait for the battles to come next year, most of which will be between MM and JLo.

However it would be fantastic if Ducati came up with a wining machine.

JLo was fantastic, defended his title like his life depended on it, the way every champion should.

It was funny to know he was riding half a second a lap slower deliberately and STILL the other yams couldnt keep up!

Good performance by Dani and obviously Marc too, but JLo earned a lot of respect from me and hopefully many other fans.
