'At this point last year I felt more nervous but this year I am more relaxed. Today already the lap time was quite fast' - Marc Marquez

Yep, would be nice to hear JLO's comment. He is down by 0.7s. But JLO usually warms up in the 2nd day. that's what happened in most FP sessions in 2013. It would mean something if he can't close the gap tomorrow. I doubt if he could lead? Looking at crash net real time log, Yamaha seems to be complaining about the extreme heat.

Too early to say much, but let's assume this is indicative, just for a laugh...The only surprise for me is Rossi. Maybe he is finally coming to terms with the M1 that was "built for Lorenzo" as claimed by the yellow peril. Anyway, good to see him putting in a promising performance, it can only mean more interesting racing.

If the M1 wasn't built for Lorenzo then who do you think they have been following ? Of course it is/was built for their championship winning rider. Of course the idea is a bike that's rideable for many riders but you seem pretty intelligent on MotoGP so you must know that a factory team is going to follow their top rider in terms of development. I'm sure that was a poke at the rossi fans who always make excuses. The truth is they are real. Did u see the way rossi had to ride that thing all season. Wide sweeping lines. That has NEVER been his way. It's the way the bike has to be ridden. And who in MotoGP rides that way effectively? Jo

@R6Ryder "that was "built for Lorenzo" as claimed by the yellow peril." Tongue in cheek...just a bit of light entertainment...it's too early for much serious analysis...

Truth is, I'm happy to read Rossi's fans making excuses, because they come out with ridiculous stuff, and it's funny. But seperately, I'd like to see Rossi a bit more competitive, because he is an awesome rider, and I'd rather see good racing.

Marquez is just unbelievable. The Honda is the perfect bike for him. If he doesn't get injured he should have no problem taking the championship again. But that's a big 'if' I guess.
